Responsible for assisting physicians in the medical care and management of patients, performing such functions as making rounds, physical examinations, and other patient examinations. The PA functions as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and provides a wide range of patient services to a specific patient population across the continuum of health care.
Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of Pennsylvania required.
National Certification in Pennsylvania or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania required.
AHA BLS & ACLS certifications required.
DEA licensure required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Excellent communication skills
Ability to complete comprehensive physical exam, diagnose and formulate a medical management plan
Ability to collaborate with attending physician
Hospitalist or acute care setting preferred
2 years PA experience preferred
