JOB SUMMARY:

 

A Physician Assistant is engaged in admitting, consulting and advising treatment plans for patients, following established protocols. Responsible for direct patient care in the MIMCU and Medical/Surgical floors. Work includes providing direct patient care by examining diagnosing and analyzing the patient's current health condition in collaboration with a physician and/or established protocols/standards while providing cost effective, quality medical care to all patients. Will work in conjunction with and seek supervision from Staff Physicians and Medical Director.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of Pennsylvania required.

 

National Certification in Pennsylvania or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania required.

 

Relevant experience preferred.
