SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Penn State Health Community Medical Group is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to join the Hematology / Oncology team located in Lancaster, PA. The primary work locations for this position will be at Penn State Health Lime Spring Outpatient Center and Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center. This individual will work in collaboration with other Physicians and APPs within the practice providing care to patients with a broad range of hem/onc diagnoses. The APP will support patients undergoing in-office treatment and will provide inpatient coverage though consults and hospital rounding. The standard schedule for this position will be four - 10-hour days, with a varying end time depending on when the last patient finishes treatment. The APPs will also participate in shared weekend call coverage on a rotating basis. Prior APP background in hematology/oncology, family medicine, or internal medicine is ideal for this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required. 
  • Two (2) years' work experience as a RN required. 
  • Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required. 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferre
