***This position is in the Specialty of Rheumatology at Lime Spring Outpatient Center on Rohrerstown Road in Lancaster.***
JOB SUMMARY:
The Nurse Practitioner functions as a member of a multidisciplinary heath care team to provide total primary care of patients in collaboration with the physician and other health care providers. Follows established nursing standards, procedures, and practices, and gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Nursing required
Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to lift 25 pounds
Occasional kneeling, pushing/pulling and reaching
Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment
Ability to deal courteously with patients
Ability to maintain effective working relationship with other employees
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience as an Outpatient APP preferred. Prior experience in ortho/rheumatology preferred.
