SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Penn State Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for Endocrinology at our new hospital Lancaster Medical Center. This position will be both inpatient and outpatient and will be responsible for inpatient rounding and consults and seeing patients in the outpatient clinic. This position includes in hospital call and outpatient call.
The Nurse Practitioner functions as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide total primary care of patients in collaboration with the physician and other healthcare providers. Follows established nursing standards, procedures, and practices, and gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Master's degree in Nursing required
- Two (2) years' work experience as a RN required.
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
- Certification in area of specialty preferred
