This position will support the General Surgery service line in the hospital setting for 1st assist in OR, floor and ER consult, admission/discharges, rounding bedside procedures, respond to Level One Trauma alerts as support, and on call coverage. Will also support other surgery services in 1st assist in OR. This position is supervised by attending surgeons and this position will assess patient and collaborate with attending on decisions regarding plan of care. This position is essential to the support of inpatient care, providing 24/7 timely attention to patient needs and communication with attending surgeons.


Master's Degree in a Critical Care or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program with a minimum of one year CRNP experience (which could include clinical rotations or relevant clinical experience in applicable specialty) required and three (3) years critical care experience as a staff nurse required.

Currently licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.

National certification as an advanced practice nurse required.

Must possess knowledge of appropriate critical care, to include advanced cardiac life support and basic cardiopulmonary life support certification.
