***Accelerated Nursing Externship***
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The 4-week Accelerated Nursing Externship is a hands-on clinical skill building program for nursing students to take place over winter break (December 18, 2023 - January 13, 2024). Externs are required to work a minimum of 12 hrs. per week (but are permitted to work up to 40 hrs. per week) and must work a total minimum of 48 hours over a 4-week period. The program will orient nursing students to an assigned unit in which the nurse extern performs basic bedside care and selected nursing procedures. Applicants must have one clinical semester completed by the time the Externship begins.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Nursing student of an accredited Nursing Program and one clinical rotation, or a Graduate Nurse without Boards required.

Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center brings acute inpatient medical services to communities in Cumberland, Perry, and York counties. The facility, features 108 private inpatient beds and an attached outpatient medical office building.
