SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This job is responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures at a technical level in accordance with established protocols established by management to facilitate the consistency of results. Work involves performing MRI scans, including a variety of procedures that require independent judgment and initiative. An incumbent assumes responsibility for the safe, efficient and proper operation of MRI operating equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology required
Current BLS Certification required
And need to meet one of the following Requirements:
ARRT, ARMRIT or CAMRT registered as an MR technologist
ARRT registered and 6 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience
Associate degree or Bachelor degree in Allied Health field, and certification in another clinical imaging field (such as ARDMS or NMTCB), and 6 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience
Performing MRI prior to and continuously since October 1996, and evaluated by responsible physician to assure competence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of work experience as a MRI Technologist preferred
GE and Siemens experience preferred
