SUMMARY OF POSITION:
**$3,000 SIGN ON BONUS AND INCREASED RATES!**
The Medical Assistant / MA will be responsible for providing assistance with various health care services, and for assisting with administrative functions such as coordinating patient flow and scheduling appointments and taking phone messages. Under the direction of a Physician or APC, provides care within scope of Medical Assistant / MA Certification or Registration to patients referred to the clinic. The Medical Assistant / MA will function as a member of the health care team and is responsible for providing routine care under the supervision of a provider to meet patient and provider needs within the practice.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program. Medical Assistants must become certified within 90 days of hire OR a Credentialed MA (Certified/Registered).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain within 6 months of employment date.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Excellent oral communication skills required.
Computer skills required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree preferred.
Prior outpatient experience preferred.
