Penn State Health Life Lion is seeking a strong and decisive leader with industry clinical knowledge of all levels of prehospital services to plan, manage, and coordinate the Life Lion scheduled clinical services and Communication Center operations within the organization. This includes clinical operations for Milton S. Hershey Medical Center discharge patient transports and all of Life Lion Community Paramedicine services.
This individual will oversee the efforts of the transport supervisor, communication center staff, as well as Life Lion’s Community Paramedicine Program. The Manager, Transport and Post Hospital will make decisions based on unit objectives as well as company policies and procedures. This individual will focus on ensuring that the work is accomplished in accordance with high organizational standards and in compliance with safety, environmental and government regulations.
As a leader within the department, the Manager will be engaged in the staffing process to include hiring, performance management, and retention initiatives to assure an engaged workforce connected to the mission.
The Manager, Transport and Post-Hospital will impact patient experience by ensuring the appropriate staffing levels are maintained and that Life Lion clinical transport services are scheduled appropriately out of Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. This individual will work closely with our Care Coordination teams to coordinate exceptional patient care with other multi-disciplinary professionals across the organization.
The Manager will play a role in participating in developing and updating operational guidelines, while making recommendations for improvements that will benefit the overall operations of Life Lion.
Bachelor’s degree required.
5 years of related experience required.
2 years management experience required.
