The Managed Care Specialist / Medical Assistant is responsible for coordinating all patient referrals to specialist and outside testing facilities. The Managed Care Specialist / Medical Assistant is responsible for tracking all referrals to determine physician usage and reconciling referral reports. The Managed Care Specialist / Medical Assistant is responsible for providing appropriate staff with updated information on new referral procedures and updating the referral grid with these changes the referral grid with these changes





High School Diploma or equivalent required


Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or current license as an RN or LPN in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required





Ability to deal courteously with patients


Ability to maintain effective working relationship with other employees


Ability to speak, read, write, and audibly understand the English language


Ability to lift 25 pounds


Ability to perform basic mathematical skills


Ability to operate basic computer equipment



Prior clinical experience preferred
