SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for providing routine nursing care under supervision to meet patient and provider needs within the practice site. Patient care includes accurately recording vital signs, discussion health concerns, performing testing, administering injections; assisting with procedures and documentation.
At Cocoa Outpatient Clinic, the LPN will perform clinical tasks for adult population such as: completing intake for each patient appointment, obtaining vital signs, performing point of care testing for the patient, administering injections, assisting in prescription refills for patients, and answering patient portal messages. Adult patients are seen at this office for Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Addiction Medicine, Gender Affirming Care, Endocrinology and Nephrology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma required.
Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current license to practice in the state of PA or eligible for licensure in PA required.
BLS required.
1 year experience in an acute or ambulatory care setting preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
Able to stand & sit constantly; walk frequently.
Able to lift/carry 0-10 lbs. frequently; 11-50 lbs. occasionally.
Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs. frequently; 21-75 lbs. occasionally.
Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly.
Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.
