SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Penn State Health has an opportunity for an experienced CVT Physician Assistant to work as the Lead Physician Assistant overseeing the CVT physician assistant team at Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center located in Camp Hill, PA. Responsible for the coordination and provision of high quality services to cardiothoracic surgery patients by the CVT physician assistant team including first and second operative assistance, endoscopic vein harvesting for coronary artery bypass graft, triage and discharge, preoperative and postoperative clinic, inpatient management and consult patient management. Also responsible for quality oversight and standardization of care for the service.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor's degree from an AMA approved physician's assistant program required.
  • Three (3) years of experience as an APP required.
  • Pennsylvania certification as a physician's assistant or certification in another state with reciprocity agreement with the state of Pennsylvania required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Two (2) years leadership experience is preferred.
