SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for reviewing and maintaining optimal inventory levels within the hospital. This role supports the inventory specialists in resolving material availability challenges. This individual will safely and appropriately use proper equipment to drive/deliver specified materials/products. This role is responsible for maintaining and ensuring a high quality product with the right fit, form, and function are available at the end user stocking location. This role is required to engage regularly with department end users and act on specific material/supplies related feedback.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Daily review of current inventory levels within inventory management systems.
- Communicates and works closely with Supervisor, Buyer, and Inventory Specialists on managing inventory exceptions.
- Completes root cause reporting (5 whys) on inventory discrepancies, service issues, and out of stocks.
- Identifies and partners with MMIS to resolve location specific item level master data corrections.
- Cycle counting lead within hospital stocking locations.
- Coordinates substitution, returns, and recalls.
- Supports Inventory Supervisor in conducting regular department specific inventory reviews.
- Monitor miss-picks, stock outs, and expired products.
- Maintains cleanliness of designated work area and supports daily 5s and Gemba activities.
- Communicates barriers to Supervisor in a timely manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience with Inventory planning and/or coordinating experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree recommended.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in maintaining inventory levels including receiving, storage, and auditing.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience with Microsoft Office Suite & TEAMs.
- Experience in customer service, managing inventory discrepancies and exceptions.
- Experience managing expired material.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated and customer-centric.
- Ability to manage multiple customer requests simultaneously.
- Ability to prioritize work based on department and production objectives.
