SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible to provide assistance in hemodialysis therapy for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, and to provide technical support for equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Three (3) months job related experience required.

Must obtain Hemodialysis Technician certification under a State certification program, or a national commercially available certification program, within 18 months of employment, according to the certification requirements of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services End Stage Renal Disease Conditions for Coverage.

Basic Life Support certification required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

Hemodialysis experience preferred.

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or equivalent medical background (i.e. EMT, CNA) preferred.
