SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This role offers an exceptional experience for new RN graduates to continue to learn and grow in their nursing career while assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to a variety of patients. Graduate nurse residents are expected to commit to full-time employment for a year, as well as actively participate in all learning opportunities that are offered. Please note that monthly start dates are available.

UNIT DESCRIPTION:

6 Main is a 32 bed, post-surgical and Medical telemetry unit, serving the adult population with surgical and medical acute diagnosis. We are the unit of choice for abdominal and urology surgical patients. We are trained in caring for trauma patients and receive dysrhythmia training as we have remote telemetry on our unit.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

Graduate nurse with a Temporary Practice Permit or Registered Nurse with license to practice professional nursing in the state of Pennsylvania

BLS required prior to orientation completion

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center brings acute inpatient medical services to the greater Harrisburg region with outpatient and inpatient locations in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, and Northern York counties. The facility, features 312 beds, a four-story Ortenzio Heart Center, and around-the-clock complex critical care for those suffering from life-threatening injuries.
