FAMILY MEDICINE FACULTY PHYSICIAN

Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center is currently seeking a full time BC/BE faculty physician for our Family and Community Medicine outpatient practice site located in beautiful Palmyra, PA.

Our Family and Community Medicine team strives to provide time-sensitive acute and chronic primary care that is comprehensive, compassionate, coordinated and high-quality. We provide a safe, cost-effective environment that is patient-centered for the entire community served by our program. In addition to providing direct patient care, our faculty are highly encouraged to participate in educating and training our family medicine residents and College of Medicine students in preceptor roles.

Job Requirements

    • Medical degree - M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent and unrestricted PA medical license
    • Completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency program
    • Board certification/eligibility in Family Medicine
    • Experience in an academic setting preferred

    The selected applicant will join our regional team of more than 50 providers located throughout 7 regional practice sites. Our facilities offer a clean, friendly, fast-paced, and busy clinical environment to work amongst a collaborative care team, to include multiple specialty service lines. Our primary regional purpose is to support the healthcare needs of Penn State University covered lives and their dependents. However, as we continue to grow, our reach extends far into the local rural communities as well. This position is outpatient only with no inpatient requirements, but we have collaborative agreements in place with Mount Nittany Medical Center, which is our only local regional hospital. The Centre County, Pennsylvania area is filled with history and offers a great place to live, work, play, and learn. Hershey, PA is conveniently located centrally with short distances from major cities like Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, NYC, and Washington DC, and we have a local regional airport that provides ease in access with connections to all major cities
