Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center will bring acute inpatient medical services to communities in Cumberland, Perry, and York counties.  The facility, set to open in the Fall of 2021, will feature 108 private inpatient beds and an attached outpatient medical office building.  This is a unique opportunity to be part of opening a new hospital with a highly collaborative and team-oriented culture.




Responsible to oversee the day to day and long term needs for the major building systems. Serve as the direct point of contact for external vendors who will perform repairs and preventative maintenance to major building equipment. Responsible for managing day to day workflow for all maintenance personnel employed and contracted. This position will be responsible for any after hour building emergencies and also to respond to maintenance requests from employees. Employees will work between Holy Spirit and Hampden locations.




Associate's Degree in electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, skilled trades, or building management plus 5 years of relevant experience in the field of building facilities maintenance or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.




Expert knowledge of the principles and theory of operating of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical equipment.


Multi-skilled craftsman (electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, carpentry, and painting).


Supervisory skills, team building and personnel interactions with all levels of employees.


Knowledge of fuels, combustion, and firing principles.


Ability to create & maintain a preventative maintenance program for all major building equipment and components.


Knowledge of established maintenance procedures, safety, & regulatory requirements.


Oral and written communication skills. Ability to coach and mentor within a team environment.


Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.


Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local rules and regulations pertaining to the operations and maintenance of equipment and facilities.


Superior customer service skills.


Working Knowledge of CAD systems.


Experienced in using and maintaining Building Automation System (BAS) software & programs.


Experience using FM software for Preventive Maintenance, O & M Programs.
