SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the direction of Vice President of Operations and in close collaboration with the Department Chair, the Director of Therapy Services Operations is responsible for directing, coordinating and controlling the operation of inpatient and outpatient Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Music Therapy, and Driver Evaluation and Training services in the hospital and ambulatory setting under a diad model with the Department Chair. Ensures compliance with state and federal laws, regulations and rules; patient care quality standards; directs and participates in the department’s planning, productivity monitoring, revenue analysis, budgeting, education and human resource management activities.
Current state licensure in physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech-language pathology required.
Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited therapy program.
Master’s degree in either a professional or management area
Seven (7) years of healthcare experience required.
Five (5) years of management experience required.
Effective management and communication skills essential.
Must be able to develop an effective partnership with physicians and clinical staff.
