The Academic Practice Division of Penn State Health Medical Group is seeking a full-time, clinically licensed behavioral health therapist (i.e., LCSW) to provide collaborative care services within the Penn State Cancer Institute CARE (Cancer Assistance and Resource Education) Center. The candidate should have specialized therapeutic skills and experienced clinical judgement while providing comprehensive assessment, short-term/focused treatment and navigation services to patients being treated for cancer. The candidate will complete comprehensive behavioral health assessments, utilize evidence-based treatment approaches, develop survivorship care plans, provide patient navigation services, and coordinate care with other members of patients’ care teams. This position affords the candidate opportunities to provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy as well as to assist with other CARE Center programming. The candidate must have a strong commitment to collaboration in providing comprehensive, patient-centered, whole person care in the setting of an interdisciplinary team.




Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field with 1-2 years of experience in the treatment of psychiatric patients.
