JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for ensuring all appropriate billing charges are being captured, documented, charged and reimbursed across the organization in accordance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory standards and requirements. Plans, conducts and evaluates reviews and audits of clinical documentation and billing practices for conformity with applicable regulatory requirements. Identifies proactive opportunities to strengthen charge capture processes, enhance regulatory compliance and facilitate appropriate revenue capture.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required
Experience with data manipulation and analysis using software such as Excel is required
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Ability to analyze data required
Coding and billing knowledge required
Strong written and oral communication skills required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Revenue Cycle coding experience with a strong IT/data analytics background is preferred
