JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing allied professional care, coordination and support of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) in the hospital, device clinics, and remote monitor setting. This includes safe and thorough evaluation, testing, interpretation and reprogramming of patients with pacemakers, ICDs, and implantable cardiac monitors according to standard protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of a recognized 1 or 2 year program in Cardiovascular Technology, Electrophysiology or Allied Health Program; or 1 year job related experience required
CVT or CCT certification current or obtained within 12 months of hire required
BLS certification required or obtained within 2 months of hire
ACLS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Broad knowledge of the cardiac electrical anatomy and physiology
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of two years’ experience with analysis and reprogramming of CIED patients (Boston Scientific, Medtronic, Abbott and Biotronik)
Experience reviewing and managing remote device follow-up via vendor websites (Medtronic Carelink, Abbott Merlin, Boston Scientific Latitude NXT, & Biotronik Home Monitoring)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to sit/walks occasionally; stand constantly
Able to lift/carry 0-10 lbs frquently; 11-50 lbs occasionally
Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally
Able to reach constantly
Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping
