JOB SUMMARY:

 

Provides technical assistance to the physician during cardiac catheterization and other related procedures. Responsible for direct patient care during procedure and manages hemostasis post procedure.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Graduation from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program and RCIS exam eligible required

 

Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, electrophysiology, and chemistry required

 

Completion of the credentialing process within 6 months of hire

 

Bachelor's degree in a related field of science or medicine preferred

 

BLS required. ACLS, and PALS certification as directed by the department
