JOB SUMMARY:

 

Responsible for providing surgical assistance as well as pre and postoperative patient care including test interpretation and patient referral under the responsibility and supervision of the surgeon.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelors degree from an American Medical Association (AMA) approved physician assistant program. Pennsylvania certification as a physician assistant or certification in another state with reciprocity agreement with the state of Pennsylvania OR an Acute Care or Intensive Care Nurse Practitioner degree from an accredited program, active or approvable application to obtain license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in the state of Pennsylvania.

 

2 to 3 years of practical work experience with cardiac surgery patient population and be proficient at performing endovascular vein harvest.

 

Ability to work effectively in a team environment with strong collaboration and communication skills.
