SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Penn State Health is seeking an experience Advanced Practice Provider to work at Holy Spirit Medical Center located in Camp Hill, PA. The APP will be responsible for providing surgical assistance as well as pre and postoperative patient care including test interpretation and patient referral under the responsibility and supervision of the surgeon. Experience in endoscopic vein harvesting is required for this position. The schedule will include five 8hr shifts per week. Some call and weekends are required on a rotating basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelors degree from an American Medical Association (AMA) approved Physician Assistant program. Pennsylvania certification as a Physician's Assistant or certification in another state with reciprocity agreement with the state of Pennsylvania or an Acute Care or Intensive Care Nurse Practitioner degree from an accredited program, active or approvable application to obtain license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Two (2) years' of practical work experience with cardiac surgery patient population and be proficient at performing endovascular vein harvest.
