The Department of Neurology is seeking a candidate for an Administrative Secretary. The ideal candidate will be a professional detail-oriented staff member who is organized and has strong work ethics. The Administrative Secretary will be responsible for providing various administrative support duties in a fast paced office environment. This position requires a high level of multitasking and the ability to manage a variety of complex calendars. This position will prepare agendas, take and compose minutes, assist faculty with preparing forms, coordinate special events and projects, greet visitors and guest speakers, and various other administrative duties. The ability to work in a collaborative, team-based work environment is critical to success.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Post high school education or equivalent experience, plus at least 2 years of related experience required.
Proficient skill level of office software and computers, with strong application of general office support functions required.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to coordinate and be accountable for multiple tasks required.
High level of confidentiality required.
Preferred Microsoft Proficiency Level: Word: Intermediate; Excel: Basic; PowerPoint: Intermediate.

Self-motivated, independent learner.
Experience with supporting physicians or executives is preferred.
